Who’s Kiley
Kiley is a marketer, entrepreneur, husband, and father who also happens to be an avid trail runner. He created Silver Street Marketing Agency in 2016 based in Salt Lake Utah with the goal of helping Real Estate Investors become more successful by using cutting-edge marketing techniques like social media engagement campaigns.
Challengues In REI Marketing
Kiley’s biggest challenges would be: knowing what the expectations of investors should be. A lot of investors come in and they don’t really know how much to spend, per lead on advertising or campaign strategy development.
And consistency, if you don’t know your numbers or how well a campaign is going to be successful you can get distracted or quit. The follow-up is also crucial for success because without the necessary operations to be able to follow up correctly nothing will happen.
Choosing Your Marketing Agency
When it comes to online marketing, the first step in this process should involve learning about your strengths and weaknesses as well as knowing where the opportunities are for growth within that field of interest. The second part is understanding what financial resources (money) are available so that budget can be planned accordingly
You have to ask yourself: how quickly do you want to grow on scale? What time is allocated for it vs what other aspects of your business would benefit from outsourcing, and does that work with the monthly budget? According to that, you have to decide if you do it yourself or if you hire a marketing agency.
“If you want to scale your business you have to be willing to replace yourself either externally or internally”
Working For Yourself Vs Working For Someone Else
Being an entrepreneur vs having the security of working for someone else in no way changes what makes you valuable as an individual- it’s all about how much passion there is behind your work ethic rather than just being employed somewhere because it pays well or gives peace of mind.
Your worth is not dependent on your productivity, it doesn’t matter if you are the most productive person in existence. Your value does not come from what activities makeup who we are as individuals but comes solely from our connection with others and the world around us.
We look to find value and approval outside of ourselves, which often becomes a huge part of who we are. It’s not uncommon for people in our society to become so wrapped up with their career as it is an extension or representation (sometimes a mirror) of themselves.
“The older I get, the more I think that so much of life is trying to be self-aware of our own issues, so we don’t project those onto other people.”
Being An Entreperneur
Learning about business, and all the different aspects involved in starting one is a process. There’s no better way to learn than by doing it yourself.
It’s easy to romanticize the idea of starting your own business and doing something that we love. The reality, however, is more mundane than you would think- there are so many factors involved with running a successful company such as family commitments or personal health issues which can make it difficult for entrepreneurs to find balance in their lives between work time management (ie: taking care of yourself).
If you believe that being an entrepreneur is easier or easy, then I have some bad news for you. Being one of the most challenging jobs in this world comes with it! There might be days when nothing goes right, and all your hard work disappears into thin air–but just remember: It’s part of our journey as entrepreneurs – so come along on yours if they’re not too rough going at first glance.
